well, at the moment i have booted linux ubuntu 64 bit onto my mac using vmware fusion. but i havent a single clue on what apps are for linux. what are the best ones? thanks

If you're on GNOME, go to Applications (top left), Add/Remove, *Make SURE you're checking ALL packages* [should be some check box somewhere], search 'xchat'. Most GOOD hackers would probably not use BackTrack as they do NOT want to be seen as script kiddies (ewww). | |
