Ubuntu or Fedora

Which Linux distro do you think is better?

Ubuntu 8.04 or Fedora 9

These are both gnome based distros, but I keep having random freezes in Ubuntu Hardy, never tried Fedora but heard good things!

What do you think?

Obviously the fanboys are going to vote Ubuntu. But being a... not fanboy... Ubuntu is structurally better and more supported than Fedora.

Simply on the amount of documentation/help/tutorials etc available

Ubuntu is a major RAM hogger, I can see why yours slows down.

Try Xubuntu (XFCE)..

but don't use Fedora, it sucks.

And Linux + Graphical Environments will always be slow (at least in my opinion :p).

Or we could fail more miserably than anything and use KDE in Kubuntu.

My dad did think I was a hacker when I used Linux for the first time a few years back. He called it Lunix too.

Thanks I will, It not slow, Its faster than my windows with a pentuim 4 processor. My problem is that it keeps freezing randomly. Maybe its compiz.

They both hog an equal amount of RAM. Also, comparing any other Operating System to Windows is totally unfair (as Windows sucks a lot).
