ScummVM port for the ipod touch. Lets you play all the old Lucasarts adventures on your iPod touch

To install it you need to manually add the following repository to installer.app manually:

If you haven't used ScummVM before on the PC or Mac i highly recommend it. Its a fine piece of award winning software and runs all the classics like Sam N Max, Broken Sword etc

i knew about this but i could never get my games to work, do i need the cd versions or the FMTOWN version?

There was actually a thread about ScummVM already but it got removed after the forum hack. I was going to start a new thread about it myself actually but you've saved me the trouble. :D It's great being able to play Monkey Island on my touch using ScummVM. I recommend it to any classic adventure games fans.

ive looked a couple places but i cant find a good site where i can just click and download a game

Nice! It seems to work very well! Clicking areas with any accuracy is pretty dodgy though, but I expect that's the nature of a finger-controlled device. The speech in Sam & Max doesn't seem to work though.

Still, it's pretty awesome being able to play these on the Touch. They look great and play well.

I had no problems putting the ScummVM application on my iPod. But I do not know where to look for the proper file so that it can run on the emulator. Can someone please PM me a link to a site or a direct download of a game? Thanks in advance.

Broken Sword was the reason i wanted it too. One of my favourite games of all time. Now if only ScummVM would support Grim Fandango....

For some reason the volume is very low on my ipt.
Turned the volume all the way up in scummvm's audio settings and it is still barely audioble. Anyone an idea for a solution?

Before launching ScummVM, turn your ipod's volume to full or near full. Play any song for a second and pause it (try not to deafen yourselves). Load ScummVM and the volume should be at a good level.

If it's too loud, you can use the double click of the home button to perform the above instructions again.

Enjoy your gaming at a good volume!

thanks a lot for the hint, to let the music play for a second! that was the step I was missing. Tried to adjust the level several times, but only after listening to a song at the desired volume, the change affected scumm. coooool. Much better now, and the voice packs make sense now.

Thats the normal size.... Its a big game...

im uploading with winSCP (wifi) too my iPod, but it take ages, other way to do it?

in what dir i have too put my "DOTT" map? /root?

You can put it anywhere you want because the ScummVM allows you to locate the game in the iPod.

Not here, i start ScummVM, then i do: "add game" (cause nothing in list) and then i can choose between: "Applications/bin/cores/dev/etc/Library/private/sbin/System/tmp/usr/var"

then when i click: "var" it say: "ScummVM could not find any game in the specifeld directory"

:(

i copy the game in this direction and it works

/private/var/root

Not that i've seen. I wish someone would get some kind of USB mass storage support onto the touch so you can use it just like a USB flash drive. Having to do everything over wi-fi sucks for big files, and having SSH enabled on your iPod is a major battery drain.

This app is absolutely wonderful. These used to be my favorite games!

If only SCUMM supported Sierra's "Torin's Passage"... That game pretty much epitomizes my childhood.

Sorry but I gotta agree with ncst on this one. The number of pointless posts on this forum is ridiculous. It really galls me how many people are too lazy to either use google or search the forum :rolleyes:

It just makes it all the harder for sensible users to find the useful info, given that you have to scroll through countless pointless posts and threads.

I have about 10 games for this, and im downloading more in a huge 13GB torrent lol. If someone tells me how to make a repo, i will do it for you guys and put them on there:)

This one was released as freeware and is definately a classic. Check out the official site:

Just click "dowload" on the left side, DL all 3, and follow the instructions. Everything you need to know about how to get it to work is found on that site or linked from that site. If you run into problems, let me know - I've got it on my iPod and it works like a charm.

have to agree with sugawara here. i'm not promoting stealing stuff from illgeal sites, but it's not like the concept and practice of torrenting is exactly foreign to people......if the rules are no warez, then it needs to be a hardline and not a bunch of gray area crap. :confused:

Does anyone know if Hugo's Haunted House runs on the scumm platform? All I know is that that game is sweet and I know its along the same lines as the other games that use scumm.
