So I have an iPhone 3G coming in the mail (and I'm quite excited!)
Currently I have a jailbroken ipod touch, firmware 2.0.1.

So I'm not new to jailbreaking, but I really don't want to mess up my new phone, so I had a few questions.

1.Does anyone know of a GOOD jailbreak for 3G or a tutorial on how to use it?
2. Is it best to jailbreak before or after rogers (canada) activates it for cell use?
3. Any tips or extra thoughts/things I should know about?

oh and By the way, I'm a mac user.

Use quickpwn after its activated via Rogers or pwnagetool and when it asks if you have a contract activated via itunes click yes.

There is probably a tutorial around here somewhere but both applications are pretty self explanatory. They literally give you instructions as you go.

it says I need to undo the "auto-unzip feature" how do I do that?

I tried and it didn't work, I kept getting 'error 1600' when I tried to restore to the custom firmware.

hmm hang on! im a bit confused!! so at the moment there isnt a proper way to unlock the 3g iphone to wack another sim card into it?

I've just bought a 3g iphone and got the contract with o2, but considering jailbreaking it to get the free extra apps!!! is this the only benefit? and is it worth while!?

i jailbroke mine mainly for customization but im loving it :D

iicc!!! yeah i had the 2g iphone unlocked and im missing the freedom that u get from jailbreaking!!! i miss customise and summerboard :( tempting to jailbreak!
