I put my Macbook Pro into Target Disk mode to transfer files onto my new Macbook Pro. The previous one is the top model and just over a year old. When I rebooted the old Macbook Pro had no video. SO I went to the Apple Store and was told it would be $1200 to replace the video processor however it turns out there was an issue with the NVIDIA processor and it was covered on an extended warranty program. Not sure if you can't be proactive and get it replaced before it fails or not but it might be something owners of the previous Macbook Pro may want to consider before it does cost you $1200
