is there any way to get nintendo ds game roms to work on the touch such as the new jam sessions game because the touch is after all a touch screen and that would be pretty frickin cool.

There is no DS emulator for the Touch -- yet, anyway, and it's questionable whether it's even possible. For starters, it's a dual CPU system (67MHz ARM9 and 33MHz ARM7) which would take a lot of chutzpah to emulate -- probably more than the Touch has to offer, even with high level optimizations. That alone would be a very difficult hurdle to overcome.
