I recently got a macbook on ebay and the top where the Apple logo is is somewhat scratched and I was wondering if there is any way to remove the scratches or at least reduced the scratched look? Also it had an annoyed sticker which I removed and it left a goo behing, how can I remove that?
thanks for the help

ok, for the scratches i would recommend ice creame http://www.radtech.us/Products/IceCreme.aspx. for the goo i would use a hairdryer on the affected area until the adhesive melts a bit and then you will be able to cleanly peel it off.

spackle. no j/k.
I don't know how. iClean or something.
For the discoloration, use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser...

It's just like when you stub your toe, they say you should break an arm. That way, you won't notice the toe pain. In this case, I think I'd go with a key to the screen. That ought to distract you plenty.
