So, I'm supposed to be getting a 2.53GHZ, 4GB RAM, 320GB@7200RPM HDD, Everything else as awesome as possible. MacBook Pro for Christmas :D:D:D

I'm curious as to what those of you that have the New MacBook or MacBook Pro think. Should I really be THIS excited?

I have the previous white MacBook, but hell yea you should be excited.

I can't wait to have it for development if anything. OSX86 is one thing, but having a real Mac to work on, as nice as it's going to be, and having the raw power... sends shivers up my spine.

i have the 1600 dollar macbook
and it is phenomenal...the only thing i would recommend is if you are planning to use boot camp..partition rather early so the fragmented files dont interfere with contiguous space
also when you receive the piece..inspect it for slanted buttons..my f7 is slanted and some people also complain that the unibody itself is slanted...
thats all...greatest laptop i have ever used

Uhm , I don't like how it only has two USB ports.
And sometimes the edges of the metally bit digs into your wrist.
But it's fine if you have long sleeves or a sweater.

It'll turn to callous.

You should rest your wrists on the thing while typing anyway... can lead to carpal tunnel

Yea its the 2499 with tax around 2600 I might get the warranty also but its another $350:(

Lol the $2800 17" one isn't even as good since it doesn't have the new processors nor the nVidia. You'll have a much nicer machine by paying less!

i dont really feel like taking a pic but if you look at it from a normal viewpoint the keys look normal..but if u hold it up horizontally looking then u can see it slightly dip to one side..its not noticeable i read about someone who noticed another key so i checked mine and realized it

Well, either way, I went to Best Buy with a client of mine today which has one of those Apple shops. I got to play with their demo MacBook Pro... I was blown away. I really can't wait.

Welllllll Today is supposedly the day I'll get it. But I might have to wait until tomorrow... not 100% sure on either.

I'm extremely psyched. This is going to help with a lot of things. I actually think that iPhone Utilities will get a little more hitch in its giddyup development wise because I'm not going to have to wait as long for it to compile then test etc. etc. VMWare Fusion will be twice as fast as my current machine. I call that awesome.

Then the SDK should run 2x-3x faster than my OSX86 configuration... even better.

yes i love my macbook pro, but im dissatisfied with two things

1. No a/v for msn (outside of Mercury Messenger)
2. Me and My cousin like to play little shockwave games, but they wont load in safari.. i downloaded the plugin and still wont..

My machine is amazing.. I can't really find any imperfections in the keyboard or the general design like you guys did.

I can run 3 OSs (thanks to spaces) in Fullscreen mode via VMware Fusion and there is seriously no lag. It's WONDERFUL.

Development is much nicer!

i dont really like firefox, but i LOVE my MacBook Pro, its amazing!
