This is a note for all you guys who are about to buy an iPhone and wanna jailbreak and activate it with a different SIM. Good news, bad news.

Good news is that you CAN still jailbreak your iPhone.

Bad news... you CURRENTLY cannot activate your iPhone! Reason being; Apple put it's new BootLoader version that does not let you activate your SIM but do not worry! The DevTeam is working on it and hopefully will crack it soon! :D

all iphones can be unlocked but 1.1.2 OTB iphones are tricky to do it. You need turboSIM to unlock the new 1.1.2 OTB iphones with the 4.6 bootloader in them.

so lets say I go an Iphone and I wanted to use it on the At&t plan but I wanted to have installer.app on it. Can I just jailbreak it and my sim for At&t will still work.

Yeah you just downgrade the firmware, the go to jailbreakme.com, install oktoprep, and then update to 1.1.2 and use the zip file with the installer that they gave you. Should be the same exact process as jailbreaking a touch with 1.1.2 (except for different firmwares).
