Now since I will be posting on my ipod for a while, I want a adblocker addon for Safari and a ipod touch antivirus program.
yes tht would be very useful, are there any viruses for the touch yet?

as i dont have my ipod touch yet, do pop ups occur on it? and since it doesnt have a multi window display, does it just open a new page (that is the pop up?)

I don't really see the need for this.
To answer nt1440 I don't think I have ever had a pop up on my touch. But, I am guessing if one does come up it opens it in a new window.

As far as I can tell no popups, but I could be wrong. Sometimes your finger slips and you accidentally tap on a banner ad, though, and that's pretty annoying. As for viruses, there aren't any yet as far as I know. The most probable virus I can think of would be a webpage that uses the tiff exploit to gain access to the iPod and mess with your files, but the exploit is easily fixed.

Yeah its annoying using a website like myspace (on my ipod touch) because of all the ads that are everywhere.

chances are there are no financial information (at least worth hacking into and stealing), so a virus will most likely not be made. And if one does, as with the Mac OS, you can bet Apple will have it patched before most of us even hear about it.

it has a pop up blocker if you turn that of when a pop up pops up it will say a pop up came from website x do you want to see this pop up if you go yes it will open a new page
by the way don't worry about trying to open a webpage and it thinking its a pop up that never happens :):)
