I thought maybe instead of modding the MacBook and opening the casing to change the color you could take a sticky transparent sheet of the apple logo and stick it on there so the light shines the color through the transparent sheet. Do you think this would be a good idea? Post your ideas about it.

If you got that translucent wrapping/packing paper, I forget what they call it, like tissue. If you cut that out right and stuck it on without it looking tacky then it would work for sure.
I know for a fact that on last generation MacBooks and MacBook Pros they did the same thing, but actually opened the lid up so that the color tinted tissue paper wouldn't be seen but the logo would still be the colored.
