I'm new to all this jailbreak lark and am just wondering how easy it is to jailbreak? Is it just a case of plugging your iPod into the computer and Installing something onto it? Obviously no one knows exactly what you have to do for the 2g jailbreak yet, so maybe some 1g users can let me know how easy of was to jailbreak theirs?

Yes. It is very simple.

It's very simple if it's anything like the iPod touch 1G jailbreak.

You simply download a program on to your computer and then run it with your iPod touch plugged in. The program (it's QuickPwn for the 1G) guides you through the process.

I believe that they said their tool will be similar to QuickPwn, GUI wise.

Thanks for the quick responses! I'm still undecided whether to JB my 2g yet. I have only just got it! I might wait and see what people on here think of it

Have you read the front page or the forums? It is coming, and soon.
But I don't care if it has a GUI or not, I just want my Touch JB'd.

apparently its going to be super easy on the 2G for firmware 2.1
and really easy for firmware 2.2

would i best be restore then jailbreak or restore while jailbreaking idk??

yes it is. its like the pwnage tool used in the 1G jb. :) a lot more cooler. i think. :) yes it is very simple :)
