from what i can tell, it seems JB only works for 2.1.1

however, after JB, are you then able to upgrade it to 2.2?

edit : it seems people are misunderstanding me. essentially, at the end of your jailbreak, will u be on 2.1.1 or 2.2?

AHHHG another 2.1-2.2 thread. How many more will there be :rolleyes: Im sure the Dev team will give complete instructions when its ACTUALLY released. You may not even have to downgrade, so just WAIT PEOPLE!

No need to downgrade.
They can upload the 2.1.1 iBEC to the iPod touch with DFU and then use it while its in memory... that means NO downgrading and LOW level access :)

It depends I think. If you are on 2.1.1 now then from what I have heard I believe you will remain on that firmware. If you are on 2.2 the same applies.

yeah the dev teams ipod most likely just started on 2.1.1 because they hadn't upgraded... don't worry about it you can't be sure about any of this stuff until its actually out. i doubt theres anything that will affect the jailbreak between the 2.1.1 to the 2.2. (correct me if im wrong i'm kinda new to this jailbreaking stuff but im going to learn.)
