I ordered one on October 1st on eBay and im still waiting for it to arrive. Mine came with a free invisible shield type thing too. I paid $9.98 including shipping. I thought it was worth a try... I'll let you know more once I receive it.

They are just your basic silicon case, prevents scratching on the parts it covers, help prevent internal damage when you drop it and also external damage when you drop it as you would expect any silicon case to do.

I have used that for my 5.5G iPod, which is by DLO, which I believe those cases are since they look identical. Anyways, the disadvantage with Silicone cases, is that though it protects iPod from impact damage, long term use of it, 1 month +, the silicone stuff actually smudges onto the back of the ipod and is VERY hard to get off as it is all silicony, and it is not 100% foolproof from scratches because dust particles are able to get in and junk.

I got one of these off ebay for 6 bucks it came with a screen proctcter which works great, i am going to take the case off and see how the back of the ipod is doing, even though i have another screen proctcter on there so it doesent scratch

depends on quality of the case, as someone mentioned the case itself might smudged INTO the ipod which creates a very disturbing stint...
