There should be a copy and paste thing for the ipod, not an application, just a mod so that you can do it.

Arrow keys?

ok, there are no arrow keys and I doubt we can magically make them and you will have to have the cursor plus some means of selection. This means that you would have to use two fingers and multi touch doesn't support multi finger gestures that well, except for the pinching action. Until the capabilities are upgraded by apple, this ain't happening. Drop it.

easier way... use the magnifying glass get to the point u want... press a button in the keyboard to enable copy/paste pick a second point and press the button again. this would save it to the clipboard and u would use the magnifying glass thing to pick a point u want to insert it in another document and press the copy/paste button and viola its done

I think we are trying to get people to think about what they are posting. And if they are going to post, at least give their thoughts. I mean, a dumb idea needs thrashing

Yea like an addon to the keyboard. so you can hold down a button, and then drag the magnifying glass over what you want to copy, and then just tap that button to paste it.

It would come in use for instance, your on your 10th try trying to get a REALLY long URL typed in, but instead of having to re-type it in each time. You can just copy paste, its not a matter of being able to type fast really.

i agree. i hate it when people go all out with a persons' question.

its just a question he asked, there is no need to get mad @ the guy just cuz he doesnt know easier ways to fix mistakes. how bout less arguing and more helping out.

Yeah, copy and paste will be awesome, really, I don't want to memorize a guide numer of a ship, or the numbers of an bank account... really, many users (me too) really needs a copy/paste funcition...

Maybe... you can select the text to copy as Windows, put the finger in the first/last letter of the words to be copy and select the rest slidding the finger, like a mouse.

they should have a box of wat u wanna copy and past the drag the box of the text u wanna copy and drag the box when u wanna paste it
