Ok so I have a friend that has a couple of questions about the iPhone, I couldn't really help him with most of the questions except #4 a little because I only have an iPod Touch.

Here's his questions:

1. If I went to my local Apple store and bought an iPhone would I need to get a plan with it?

2. I would be using it on Tmobile so I would just need a data plan and unlimited text?

3. Are there any reliable free places to unlock an iPhone?

4. Is it easy to brick an unlocked iPhone?

3. the guides are easy enough to do it on your own

4. i've never bricked mine since 1.0.2 software. i messed up my iphone yesterday by messing with some files, so i restored to 1.1.1, then updated to 1.1.2 and it was still unlocked and fully working. (just follow guides before updating)
