This is a very simple guide on how to create a PSX4IPHONE bootable PSX iso from an original PSX cd.

First of all, download the free version of Alcohol (52%) from: http://mirror1.free-downloads.net/3/Alcohol52_FE_1.9.6.5429.exe

Once you have installed that, follow these simple steps:

Put your original PSX game cd into your cd/dvd drive
Open Alcohol 52% and click "Image Making Wizard" from the list on the left
Tick the box that says "Read Sub-Channel Data from current disc"
From the Datatype drop-down list, select "Play Station"
In the Image Name box, enter the name of the game. This will be the name of your ISO file
From the drop-down list on the right, choose "CloneCD Image File"
Finally, choose a place to save the ISO file in the folder selector, and click Start

You can then upload the ISO to your "var/mobile/Media/ROMs/PSX" folder (or "var/root/Media/ROMs/PSX" if your on firmware 1.1.2 or earlier) to test if the game works with your version of PSX4IPHONE. Click here to find out how to transfer large files to your iPod quickly (http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15569).

Please give us feedback on whether or not the game you tested works or not, via the Official PSX4IPHONE game compatability list (http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15700).

Note: To further compress your ISO files, you can try this guide (http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15606).

Nice guide Hazed. Can't wait for the public release to try my games. I also would like to confirm that Alcohol 120% works just as well and is the same procedure.

I have clearly stated that asking for the PSX password will result in a one day ban. I am one to keep my promises, so you will now be banned for one day.

Because it is a private beta, and zodttd has clearly asked for it to not be given out by people who have donated and received it.

On top of that, thanks to people leaking it, zodttd has had to deal with hundreds of support requests via his email and forums, that were from people who shouldn't even have access to it! Thus slowing down it's production.

Therefore, to aid zodttd in the fight against these morons, we have setup a strict rule that states any person asking for the password will receive a temp ban with immediate effect.

who needs it?

just get it from installer.app and enjoy! :)

I dont even care enough about this stupid app to try to look for the code even if I did need it.

it will probably suck anyway.

The schp1001.bin file is a file which is not necessary but if you want better speed, then u should use it.

We are NOT gonna provide links for it here, because it is copyright Sony Corporation:mad:

Here is how to do it using Toast in OSX.
In Toast, select COPY and in the top menu select "save as a disc image".
Create the dmg. Last step, change .dmg to .iso.
Thats it!
I used Toast 8.0 and Leopard.

I'm now playing Crash Bandicoot on my iPodTouch. ;-)

I have the game that appaers in the psx4all list, but when i want to start the game. It doesn't work. There appears a remark on the screen, something about missing a file (in os??) and then it goes to annother screen that says something about copyright etc... Bios is istalled. I had to creat the maps to put img file because i didn't find them. Is this normal or should they be there when i installed psx4all

I tried the game on pc and it starts en the copyright screen is apparently the start op screen of the game so it means dat it works on the ipod touch, but it doesn't continue it stays on that start op screen. Could the game itself be the problem? It's MGS (metal gear solid)

Hey guys i followed this tutorial and loaded the .img file onto my ipod touch. When i eventually try and load up the rom it gets one screen into the game then freezes. Can someone please tell me what i am doing wrong.

I am using psxiphone version 0.8.0 and the scph1001.bin bios

Only thing i can think is that when i transfer the file it takes 15 mins via SSH when i have heard it usually takes 1-2 hours.

Any ideas?
