I saw, somewhere a thread on making the iPod act as a phone controlling your real cellphone.

Anyone think it would be possible to make the iPod send text from an app through the bt into the phone?

I know other devices can do it, i had one that could do the same...

Anyone think it would happen (Probably with jailbreak though..)

You mean using your cell phone as a 'gateway' to send text messages?

I don't see what the point of that would be... If it's using your phone you would still have to pay. Why not just use your phone?

I always have both my ipt2g and cell with me and I'd much rather use my ipt2g to send texts.

and the "point" is using the massive iPod keyboard to send text...

mm for my phone theres something called a superbluetooth hack and it lets me make calls from other people phone but using my phone so i think when they bluetooth in enabled there might be a chance we can =)

I think teens will be excited by Picture Messaging on 3.0. Now they can "sext" from their iPod or their phone! Just ask GMA!
