Ok i've been gone for a week and this 3.0 firmware talk wtf is it? I know its an update but why do we gatta pay $9.99 and wait till june???

To answer your question as simple as possible. We shouldn't have to pay for it, but think about it like this. The iPhone Users aren't paying for it, and for good reason too. They pay a monthly bill of some hundred or so dollars. Whereas us iPod Touch Users, don't pay jack unless we buy apps and such. I can understand why they're charging for iPod Users. as for earlier? just wait for it to come out, because currently the beta FW/OS is buggy, and if you manage to acquire it without a Dev account, you'll run into some problems.

ya when i was using the beta it was so buggy my pictures where freezing on me? its crazy
