Yea I noticed a bunch of problems with the 3.0 GM release on my ipod.

- Cannot play music simultaneously, when playing a song, after the song is finished it will play a few seconds of the next song them stop and it resprings back to the home screen.

- Alot of itunes errors when first installing.

Are you a developer? If not, where did you get the GM from?

If you got it from a torrent little bits of the firmware may have been messed up.
That may be the root of the problem.

Note: I did not say you used a torrent, or obtained it illegally.

Anywhoo, I've noticed some stability/graphic issues when going through albums in CoverFlow mode.

I've also noticed much longer shut down times.
Booting is a little longer, too.

We shouldn't update to iTunes 8.2 or the 3.0 OS until we get the green light from the iphone dev team, correct?

Im not a developer but who is on this forum?

Theres no restrictions to developpers only, and im sure alot of people on this forum have downloaded something illegally from a torrent

Doesnt matter cause Im downgrading right now anyways. Theres NO HUGE difference between 3.0 and 2.2.1.

The bluetooth never worked for me, theres no jailbreak, and I dont even use the new features yet.

A ton of people, including me. And no huge difference? Features, speed, and battery life are always a plus, why would you go for the worse firmare?
I have not noticed anything wrong with the firmware.

Theres no huge different if I cant play a playlist simultaneously, or the bluetooth dont work for me.

And the only speed difference I noticed was springing back to the main menu,

So you're saying that just because he found a copy of it on a CD out in his garden all the data may have a greater risk of being corrupted? =/ EVEN if you download from Apple data can get lost or disappear along the way... Especially if you've got Wi-Fi at your home, and your signal is half-good. Sounds to me like you just wanted to bust somebody, mini-police-style. Did you? ^^

Anywho... since I'm NOT a developer I'll have to wait, PLUS we've got no jailbreak which works 100 % right now. Only the dev-teams and so forth. I want everything to work! :D

The only thing I have noticed, is when I set Home Button to open iPod on double taps (i'm on iPod Touch 2G) it won't work since my app is called Music, and yet it still says "iPod".

Anyone else notice this? Also where is the Battery percentage?

a) turn "show ipod controls" off,
b) its not in the firmware (that we know of), should of restored from an earlier backup with percentage battery enabled.

I have a 1st gen touch

I had a serious lag issue earlier and my ipod and iTunes were out of sync, by which I mean iTunes said it was syncing and showed it was installing an update and my iPod just showed the springboard, sync finished then my iPod said it was syncing, this cleared up after a longer than normal reboot.

I just double clicked my home button and in the music controls it says dock connector..... my iPod isn't even plugged into a usb cable or dock

Oh, plug the headphones in. That alleviates that issue. Someone needs to create a MobileSubstrate Plugin for that :D
