Maybe you should be looking for hearing aids between the range of $50-100. JKS.
On amazon, you can purchase a legit copy of CX 300 headphones for about $45. Best earbuds I have ever tried. Amazing bass, great fit. I only had it for a few months, but if the right earbud fades, I'll be sure to tell you.

I've got the Bose in-ear headphones and the sound quality is really good. They're designed for digital sound and are definitely worth the money.
The only other in-ear headphones that I've tried that are better are Shure SE420's (they've got dedicated tweeters and woofers) but they cost a lot more...

I have the Bang and Olufsens. They fit on my ear very comfortably, and have the best sound quality i have ever heard from buds. I have had them for over a year. They were $160 back then, hopefully the price has dropped.

I use a pair of Shure E2C's. Awesome fit once you get used to them, and sound quality is excellent.
I paid about £35 (~$70) for them off ebay a few months ago. Though strangely they now sell on ebay for up for £55 (~$110).

Etymotic ER6i. These things are amazing in sound quality and noise isolation. Noise isolation is equivalent to wearing foam earplugs. They are the number one recommended ear-buds in the motorcyclist community. I've had mine over a year now and they are by far the best ear-buds I have ever owned and I have many(Shure, Ultimate Ears, Sony etc.). They produce two ER6 models, the ER6 and the ER6i. The "i" model is what you want as they are specifically made for portable devices(very efficient). Here's a link to the manufacturer but search on google and you can find them on-line for about $80. http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er6i.aspx
