For everyone that is going to be getting the yet unannounced iPod Touch 3G, what will you do with your old 2G or 1G? Keep it? Sell it? eBay?

depends. If it has the features that are being sudgested (better speaker, built in mic, camera.) then I will deftinnetly get it. If not Ill get an iPhone (got an upgrade coming soon.)

Ill probably keep my 1st Gen at firmware 2.2 and I'll use it solely for applications and games, as in max out all 9 pages. I have the 5 column-5 rows-5 icon dock set-up, so I should be set. I probably wont take it anywhere but if I take a trip, I'll be good to go for entertainment. Then, when I get a 3rd Gen, of course it wont be jailbreakable as soon as it's released, so I'll use it how my 1st Gen is currently used: Music, Videos, a couple apps/games. When it's able to be jailbroken, Ill throw a theme on there and the essentials (MxTube, Cydia, respring, etc...).

Keep it. I always go every other generation so therefore I will wait for a fourth generation whenever that may be. I never buy first generation products, and I never buy two generations in a row. I want major advances, not minor tweaks.

And the SAV Apple does not cover damage caused by liquids so I would force myself to pay the sum. About $ 45 for shipping and evaluation / handling and $ 120 for repair. A total of $ 165. I prefer to buy the next iPod for about $ 50 more

i got my 2g engraved, so no sell. Besides I plan to get a 3GS - the 3G would be a good filler until then but tbh Id prefer to wait till i can get a iPhone.

I will always keep my 1g, memories. Plus I think it would be a smart idea to develop on a 1g so that way you know it will run well on any other device if it runs good on a 1g.

If it has these things, I will sell this one and purchase the iPod Touch 3G:

If the 3G has the iPhone 3GS display screen, mic and bluetooth, that is all good.

If it has all of that, and GPS and a non-scratch back, I will eat at a soup kitchen for a month, if I have to, to be able to purchase one immediately and sell the present one, as soon as possible, so I can eat decent meals again.
