Since rumors had it that the iPod touch 3rd gen might be like the iPhone 3GS, how big are the chances that it'll overheat like the iPhone 3GS? I don't want to get an iPod that overheats to a degree that it might burn me >____<

First of all, I'm sure that they will fix that problem as they already know about it, second, it's not out, so we have no clue...
im sure there working on it...
besides its not even out yet, how are we supposed to know?

Its unlikely, they know about the problem in the 3GS so they probably wont let it happen again.

WHhaha, actually he's right! XD
Yeah. If they can fix it in a OS update in 3.1 it might be better. Seeing as it's supposed to help battery life.
If not apple is working on it.

Well i have an idea for that: MAKE THE FRIKKEN THING BIGGER! then if they put more metal on it, it will have better heatsinks and you wont burn yourself :) i know alot about cooling so im guessing just doing that will help. but COME ON, its a 400Mhz processor how hot can it push to?

the 3GS processor is already underclocked at its slowest possible speed which is 600Mhz and its highest intended speed is 1Ghz
