Well i was thinking that there may be a reason for so many cameras being purchased either. The ipod touch will have two cameras (ie one on front and one on back as in the Nintendo Dsi) or (as "JKK Photography" suggested) a new device created by apple may be released later this year (maybe even at the next apple event to the likes of "Lets Rock" or "The Beat Goes On") perhaps the rumoured tablet pc is being released with a camera as well as ipod touch 3rd Gen with a Camera. What do you personally think will happen?

umm no i dont think the ipod touch will have 2 cameras, it just doesnt look like it will happen, there might be a new device though, who knows.

But the netbook/tablet is most likely going to happen, as all the Macbooks at the moment have been all renamed MacBook pro. There are no normal MacBooks at the moment, only pro ones. Apple are going to fill this gap in with something new, which will pobably be te tablet/netbook

Hey, thanks for referencing me! But yeah, I see Apple trying to 'redefine' the netbook space (and it does need some stirring up, all of the netbooks are shipping with 1.6GHz Atom's, Intel GMA950 graphics, it just pathetic). Anyways, I see Apple shipping a Tablet (but with a spin on it, I'm not sure of that spin) with (possibly) a dual-core Atom, and I think that nVidia Ion could be coming as well. That could explain the talks between Apple and nVidia, and would give it a good graphics chip. Thats the tablet form, the netbook would be basically the same, but be unibody, so it would right off the bat have better build quality than most netbooks (except for maybe the HP 5101). I think that, if it exists, the launch will colaborate with the release of Snow Leopard, because that is what it will be designed to run, and will probably be announced with the iPod's, because it wouldn't make sense for a whole new Apple event to announce one more product. So, if this is real, and it releases, I'm getting it.

my bets that the new Netbook (if there is one) will be 1.8GHZ and be as thin as the Air. (not physical air, notebook air:p)

I thought Mr Jobs said something along the lines of 'at the moment we don't know how to make a computer we can be proud of for under $500' when asked about netbooks.

So maybe they've changed their minds.

Apple also denied the iPhone many times, the denied the change to Intel Macs, and just about every other major change in there product line. :p

But anyways, a tablet isn't a netbook, isn't it?:D

I can understand why Apple wouldn't release a netbook, but in the long run, if the price is right, then it would be worth it. Later on, you get people who wouldn't normally buy a Mac getting one later on, because Apple just made their best netbook. But still, if they drop the Polycarbonate (white) MacBook to about 800$ or 700$, then that would, in my eyes, be a substitution for a netbook, especially at that price.

I don't hope there will be a camera on the front for video chatting (Apple would put it on the iPhone 3GS, no ?) but can be to rival with the Nintendo DSi....:confused:

Whenever I think of the DSi, I think of an underpowered POS. It really is, I'm sorry (I'm a bit of a Sony fanboy...) but I think that there would be some really cool games to take advantage of a front facing camera on the next iPod touch.

for it to be a reasonable netbook in my eyes, it would have to be $599 at the most. and it should be under 12 inches without a cd dive.

i think that i will be very happy if the touch has a camera in the back, but i wont complain if it has one in the front too.

and as ive said before....i really dont think they'll have a netbook, but im 95% that they touch will get a camera.

I'm the other way around, they definitely will have a netbook (at the moment there is a normal Macbook but it is getting very old, the only current macbooks are Macbook pros, and the gap will need to be filled with something with less power then the least current macbook pro, but more than the ipod. a.k.a pretty much a ntebook). But I kinda doubt the ipod touch will get a camera.

I do not think that the 3G ipod touch will have two cameras on it because it would make the device to thick, about the tablet I do think that apple will eventually come out with one but the thing that would make it great is if they added multi-touch features. The tablets out now like the HP don't have multi-touch.

But it would be better than the current iPhone so it is probably never going the happen fir the next iPod. Apple never seem to have made the iPod beat the iPhone in any area (except storage, that is it)

Yeah I mean 3G doesn't mean crap to me its not a big feature oh or texting OH YEAH PHONE SERVICE.

People don't buy the iPhone for the phone service. They buy it for the gimmicks that come with it. Like a camera.

People please listen to your self. A camera in the front? That is not going to happen... It will beat the iPhone if it happens. The iPhone need to have the front camera feature first THEN it's little brother will get the upgrade down the line. And the 'iNet' with a camera is possible. I can see why so many where bought. I can also believe the mic part. The case looks a little different. (the speaker better change cause it sound so... crisp???)
