Hello all i just wanted to say Hi and ask for some advice

I am really interested in learning how to write code etc .
I am considering going back to school to do so , but between
work and the kids i first want to learn a little more and what I
am getting into I have purchased c++ for dummies
came with source code and compiler gonna flip through it
and read a few more post and try to compile bluetooth and get it working

just wanted to let ya guys know I would be popping in from time to time
with question so wish me luck :)

Ok, good look, make sure you know some bases of jiggy, Perl, and Python before doing so.

i hope so:D. I am in your boat and am trying to learn c++ and i am about 1/4 way through my sams teach yourself c++

YOure sortof on the right track, although if you want to make regular apps, youll need OBJ-C too, although, you only need to know C++ if you use SDL.
