Whenever I try to edit icons from themes i've downloaded and then put them on my touch it becomes a box and wherever there isnt an icon its white. For example on my attachment it makes a white box around it.

I have always wondered the same thing. I know that you have to save as a PNG image to get transperancy, but even when I do save as a PNG I still have the same problem. Maybe it has to do with interlacing?

You gotta save it as a .png. Also if you have the white stuff around the immage either turn of the layer or delete it. Get your handy magic tool and erase that ho.
