iMac8,1 with ATI Radeon HD 2400 graphics cus on the apple website it states that openCL will only work with the newer graphics like the NVDIDA GeForce ones and not this one? Is OpenCL important? i might just have to sell my imac and get a mac pro - easy to upgrade! ;)

i think its only games and very high quality graphics. I would not think it is important and also i think it has only recently been released so not many games use it (i think)
