You are gonna regret if you say that the iPod3G won't be as good. But if I have to choose between the other 'unsuccessful iPod killers' I wound say the Zii...

i think the iPod touch is only successful because of the hype and appstore. everything feels outdated to me when i use it. It used to be cool 2 years ago but now im bored and i know the 3G will have the same UI i want something new.

i am personally not a fan of apple but decided to give in and i got the ipod touch just to see wth everyone was talking about. overpriced yes, overhyped, yes but hey it is a good product.

i might get the Zune HD just because it looks so good. all the videos all the pictures, everything makes it amazing. smooth interface OLED screen cheap pricing (something apple doesnt have but might be forced to have lol)

I know what you mean. Personally, there aren't enough videos out to decide which are better.

That is right. Apple anymore is synonomous with 'cool.' Personally, I bought my iPod touch because there was a lack of those types of devices on the market at the time.

Agreed, the only thing that was putting me off the zune was the decenty of the internet browser and keyboard, now it has been shown, it looks real nice, im stuck between all 3 devices, the zii, zune and ipod touch!

I just wish the Zune HD had a speaker... I would buy it in a second. I LOVE the UI...

i'd go with zii. android is better than any OS you'll get. even iphone os.

i agree. the iPhone OS does get a bit boring aesthetically. But theming helps that.

if you like Beautiful GUI, nice feeling build, and all round Better Quality, Head for the Zune.

if your looking for top in performance, but don't mind losing the Sexyness and smooth feeling GUI and build, for a bulky, Rough around the Edges device, which you can highly customize and play with, the Zii would be you answer. and don't forget, Multi-touch isn't supported in android (Google denied it).

while, if you want some Speedy Performance with Great Game and app titles, with an easy to use, simple GUI, Which can be customized down to the Very last pixel (with jailbreak) Keep with the iPod touch.

Me. all i Really want from my PMP is a Music Player a Web browser, Beautiful GUI and a great sounding Device. all i need is a Zune.

heres how i look at it

iPod touch: good UI but not fun, bad sound quality, scratchy annoying back making you buy a case for bulk, appstore which i used once every 3 months, some camera, speaker(i dont use).

Zune HD: no speakers, AMAZING UI, beautiful sexy display, great form factor, smaller screen, smaller overall, no camera, 720p hd output. NVidia tegra, going to have lots of accesories and good software

Zii Egg: the Ultimate portable computer, great performance (better than tegra), two cameras (one is 1.3mp but HD which dosent make sense), 10 point multitouch, android, some plaszma os..., screen is same as ipod touch size and quality wise, device does not have a good form factor, kinda looks cheap and bulky, i am disliking the matte finish, going to have no accesories.

It seems to me the Zii is going to be one of those products thats REALLY rough around the edges. its good in theory but in practice its a bad device with lots of lagging and many bugs and since its a developer edition i dont think zii labs gives a shit about what we "consumers" think.
and one of the previous posters said Google Android wont support mutitouch so im gonan go ahead and say the device dosent have multitouch since im not gonna be using the "Plaszma" is because from what ive seen it dosent look great, then again i havent seen much.

and i find it hard to believe that the consumer Edition "Creative Zii" will have multi OS support and all these other great features, it would make sense to pack this device with lots of power because its a developer device. lol.

it has a 3.2 MP camera and its made by HTC, which are really good.
the Zii looks alright. it doesn't look like an iPod beater. theres polls that suggest it aswell.
more people would rather upgrade then go for a Zii. but i would go for a Zune.
i never know why some people are so against it?

I really don't know much about the Plaszma OS, but isn't it just a variation of Android? Maybe I'm wrong, but if Plaszma is a variation of Android, then it would be fully customizable. So if you don't like the way it looks then you can just change it. Whenever I see the Zii the only thing I really look at is the StemCell computing chip.

from what ive seen from Zii labs videos the OS lags...there was a video of him scrolling through the browser and it lagged so much. I dont trust them yet

It's what makes the Zii much more powerful than any handheld media device available. Oh, and don't forget that the Zii is basically in it's early development stages and only available to developers. When/If it ever gets released to the public I highly doubt it would have any lag.

I think that that was a very early version, considering most of the hardware wasn't even set up and working yet...
