Ok putting my complaints about spelling aside
No, its not possible for the touch screen to recognize the details of a finger.

The closest you can get to a neat password would be like a picture where you have to tap a sequence to unlock it.

I think drag-paths, or "gestures" would work well with the touch. Try the demo a bit down this page (http://waelchatila.com/2005/09/18/1127075317148.html). I'm tied up with other projects, but that would likely be really easy to implement...

The closest thing to a fingerprint scanner would be to have an invisible slider (attached) with the text: "Scan Fingerprint" for the unlock screen.

Also, please do us the courtesy of spelling words correctly.

thatd be hott, but instead a secret like silde combo would work too i guess, like you slide your finger around or tap the 4 corners of your touch to unlock it

That would be really cool. I woud be very appreciative to anyone that wold do this.

The problem with that in safari though is that moving your finger across the screen is scrolling, not clicking and dragging.

Image passwords sound more like u have to do that puzzle game where u have to make a picture by moving the pieces around with 1 open free space... lol but who the heck wouild take the time to develop a sophisticated program like that or who would take the time to move the puzzle pieces...lol.. i know i wouldnt i hate those games...but yeah i do think ther shouild be a better passcode program other than the 4 numeric password.

fingerprint would be impossible, but maybe something like a slide to unlock path (combo) would work

What about an audio password for those with mics? :)

then you couldnt really unlock your iphone/touch around people because they would hear your password, thus defeating the purpose of having a secret password XD
