So, i was wondering how well the tablet would sell, so i just wanted to make a poll. Would you get a tablet for 800-1000 or a macbook for 1200? my vote goes for the macbook.

LOL i must be the only one here who would get a tablet. Tablets are sooo much thinner and sexier, and knowing apple it would prolly turn out to be sort of like the hp touchsmart except mac and more epic XD

the macbook just got updated in june with all the iphone 3gs stuff. I do not think they will update the specs/design until next year. But I don't think they have changed from their unibody aluminum design for 2 years have they?

if i were rich id get the tablet but other than that its like a extra you dont need

...would give you a chance to have something that absolutely sucks to use and is an all around pain that would never reasonably replace even the cheapest laptop.

BUT of course, if you're immature enough that all you care about is having the latest and greatest thing, that all your friends will envy, but you will know that its simply horrible to try to actually DO anything on it...sure get the tablet...





but just a question, does anyone actually think that the macbook pros will get anything new in june? i mean, what could they realistically add? maybe some small new cpu and such upgrades, but nothing is gonna be drastic. i dont see a carbon fiber macbook pro within the next five-ten years.

I doubt it, upgrading to a unibody aluminum was pretty nice as super needed as the plastic stuff fell off so easily and got way to dirt too. But they will probably just do the same thing as the ipod. Bigger memory, longer bat life, more ram etc. I would LOVE to have a cf solid state drive 256gb 13 in macbook pro. But I do not see that coming for a long long time at the current notebook prices.
