When I bought my MacBook Pro a few weeks ago, it came with iLife '09 preinstalled. When I installed Snow Leopard however, it(as expected) erased iLife '09 from my computer since I did a fresh clean install. Is there no way short of buying iLife '09 separately again of getting this?

It didn't come with an iLife disc, just the Mac OS X install discs. It had iLife preinstalled.

there should also be the applications disc, which will install ilife as well.

There are two Mac OS X install discs, which are inside the "Everything Else" packet. Nothing more.
EDIT: One is called Applications, but does not contain iLife '09. :(
