could also be like when 3.0 came out, some people got the touch update for free (Me being one of them ^_^), so maybe if you get early enough, you get it free, never know, it didn't ask me for any kind of payment info when i started to download the new one for my touch few mins ago.

I think its because we use a different hardware to the other hardware. ipt1g=iphone 1g/2g ipt2g=? ipt3g=iphone 3gs.

Uhhh yeah, and doing it on my phone first then ipod lol, so might have to wait bit, im mainly looking at the youtube/wifi speeds though, it was one main prob i had on 3.0 =p




So far, updating doesn't delete any music and such, but did (obviously) undo the jailbreak.

Youtube videos seem faster now... possibly improved wi-fi maybe? tested with hd video, and it didn't stop to buffer once.

Wi-fi, at least for me, takes a bit longer to start up 0.o

Also, reboots faster, and the black screen bug is gone, took around maybe 20 seconds on my touch, maybe 30 seconds on phone due to the network searching and such.

Only things i found new... cant find the other things that apple "included" in the update like, the ringtones buying and such though, ill say wi-fi is definitely faster though.

it's still stupid that they now only have to pay 5 bucks for the upgrade to 3.x.x instead of 10 for the people who upgraded from 2.x to 3.0

I think it's 5 bucks if you go from 2.2.1 to 3.1.1 but if
you have 3.0 it's free.(maybe)
