Hi all, after every new update comes I pray that apple have finnaly decided to include some of these features, as always I am dissapointed. Leave your comments about what you would also like to see.

-freedom with playlists (on iPod, w/o com)
this includes thing like:
-being able to delete playlists after sync with com
-Change playlist names
-edit playlists after sync
-fix this annoying pop-up control bug (after double tapping home button and pausing music it will not pop-up again)
-freedom with apps
-easily copy your friends apps onto your iPod and then onto your com.

That's all I can think of now, feel free to post your suggestions.

- A way to delete podcasts from your iPod
- A overflow in safari or mail so you could jailbreak straight form the iPod.

I think being able to delete music or podcasts with a password is a bit smarter, what if youre out and accidentally delete a song or your friends decide to be jerks? Uhh....

the music doesn't stop when you exit the music.app. And you can enable the always pop-up controls using supreme settings(on the iPod touch it should work on firmwares lower than 3.1)

I personally would want to see portrait orientation of videos. When my iPod is on a dock, I don't want to have to turn my head sideways to be able to watch the video.

You can do that now, just add the video you want into a playlist with at least 1 song in it.

What is this? Never noticed it before. is it a 3.1 bug?

1. When can we have scrolling file names/titles of songs?

It's such a stupidly basic feature, I don't know why they don't have it.

2. Also, rather than having only 3 viewable orientations (regular portrait and 90 degree rotation on each side [landscape left or right]), I'd like to be able to flip the iPod upside down.

Sometimes on a treadmill or elliptical, I rest by iPod upside down on the ledge (since the headphone jack is at the bottom) and I'd like to be able to read what's on it.

I think I made the second one sound more confusing than it should be.

Here is my wishlist:
- Full-function Bluetooth, i.e. to pair with a mobile phone and transfer photos / files etc...
- An English Language mode for Malaysia under Settings > General > International; previous firmwares had this but now, we only have the Malay language (and my command of Malay is not exactly that good!)... :(
- Redeem codes over the App Store and for Malaysia at that! :D
- Remote should be a STANDARD feature and not just an App Store download... :)
- Landscape mode for Calendar, it's an already superb app for taking down minutes but landscape will make it near-perfect! ;)

wont happen... if they have a drag and drop option, people will find a way around extracting games out of it so people will end up getting more pirated games. This will lose a lot of money for apple. I'm sure they've looked into it already.

Well the new iPod touch and the 3GS have 256mb RAM. That's more than enough to run full flash player. Steve said sometime before or shortly after the 3G iPhone release that Flash Lite works perfectly but it's pretty much useless(not many supported sites and it's pretty slow) and that full flash it's too slow. That was BEFORE the 3GS release.

This, and every bug they got made in 3.1.1 fixed (like the crash heaven many people had - Even I could sum up that there is something badly wrong in 3.1.1 and downgraded.

It is in hands of adobe though, but they ARE making flash light for iPhone OS as what I heard

Mate, this problem can be overcome with this app called AppBox Pro... It only costs US$0.99 at the App Store and once accessed, there is an item called "Battery Life" which shows the percentage remaining as well as time remaining... Hope this helps! :D

if i hear to some music i would like to have the possibilty to switch to the next song without moving the ipod like an idiot (shuffle) or touching the display

since finding out about JBing, i thought a theme store would be great for apple.

I agree with the updating podcast thing, should check itself like Mail app with push, once a day or something.

However, you can already delete podcasts by moving your finger from left to right on the title.

I'm not sure they would allow you to jailbreak straight from the iPod if they're not planning on letting people jailbreak it now with a PC/Mac.

The hold thing is the same as on walkman phones by sony. On my phone(will be replaced with an iPhone) when u hold volume up/down it does the thing you said it does.
And there's no app for that.

Well your different than me. I don't like to change the layout of the homescreen. I think I'll move the Compass icon on the second or third screen when I get an iPhone though, like I did with the Voice Memos on my 2G..(touch)

I don't trust those 3rd party apps because they only display to the nearest 5% and the estimated times they give for various tasks are just proportional to the percentage remaining shown.

It doesn't have to be, it's depending about your wifi connection. If you have a fast 20 MB/s wireless internet router that's straight next to your computer and closely to your ipod it would be way faster than USB.

Things that i like in 3.2:

-Just like for the iPhone in 3.1 making your homescreen in iTunes;
-Flash Player for iPod Touch (just like iMobileCinema, but than better.
-Sharing contacts to other friends with bluetooth/wifi
-And of course all the stuff where you jailbreak for... But that's old, and i think its almost not possible. Themes would be so easy btw, why are they not including it?! Themes are cool, just look at the new iNSPIRED by K. Nitsua, my eyes blew out when i had it on my ipod... Themes make the iPod better, more beautiful and believe me, there will be an increasing of appeal...

The reason they don't allow themes is that it accesses parts of the ipod that Apple doesn't want devs(or their applications) going into

why does everyone want themes....if they release themes then our jailbroken iPod touch/iPhones wont be that unique anymore :p

back in early 2008 i almost ripped off a kid because of the uniqueness of a jb iPod touch

YES PLEASE omg this has very annoyed me, also to adjust the volume when I'm in an app, I double tap the home button, it will pause the app, and then I can put the volume lower (for instance if it is very high)

when I do that now it will exit the app T_T


also, when I'm opening the music and I want to adjust the volume, I can't put my finger up again (like the scrub fast forward with the song length)
I HAVE to stay in the box to adjust to volume, I also hate that (it's with this update)

Two things for me ...

The ability to use my bluetooth microphone (especially since they make us have that voice recorder app) and the ability to control the volume of bluetooth devices from the ipod (my very cheap (=free) phone can do that but my 32GB iPod Touch 2G can't)

That's not bug, that's feature. In fact, that's what it was supposed to do before this update. It never worked, apparently. I was quite happy with it. I was ticked off with that "fix"...

For people asking for battery percentage, are any of you aware of the cydia app called battery control? As that app does it!
