Please help. After installing 3.1 on my 1st generation ipod touch, the volume controls do not show when I double click on the home button if no audio is playing. Only if I start an audio in music section and then come back to home window do volume controls show when I double click on home button. This is really annoying. Does anyone have any resolutions? Thank you for helping!:)

Yes it is very annoying, this is either a "bug" or a really bad feature... This started showing up around version 2.2.x, I could be wrong...

Install Supreme Settings and you should be able to reconfigure what the double click action does.

go into settings and set home to ipod

thats a new bad feature in the 3.1.1, and only in the 3.1.1, you cant do anything now, but when the jailbreak comes out get ipodpop. xD

Or use supreme settings and enable always show pop-up music controls.
