I think the confusion stems from the 8gig 2g updated model that comes with 3.1 (i assume) and the 8 gig 3g model that can apparently come with 3.1 or 3.1.1 (i've heard some came with 3.1). I have one that i bought a few days ago and it's an 8 gig that came with 3.1 so i ASSUME i have the updated 2g 8 gig.... if this will work with greenpoison i have no idea, i hope so though.

The 8GB 3G model actually has a new feature... you can't downgrade :D

If they've got the exploit working in 3.1, it should be workable in 3.1.1. They've showed the exploit working on one of the two, so it should be sweet :)

I think the fact that the developers of greenpois0n show their jailbreak on a iPod touch 3g is enough to know that they are making a jailbreak that works on 3.1.1
