This not a jailbreak tool.. it's an aid that MAY help in downgrading to lower firmwares if you're kicking up errors when using the normal DFU downgrade method.

Can it help to JB 3.1.1?
Can it help to JB 3.1.1?
It allows users to restore to a custom firmware, which usually means a pre-JB'd IPSW file.

It's not a jailbreaking tool...! If you feel the need to download a tool to help you restore to a new firmware as you haven'Tt mastered the art of putting into DFU or pressing shift and thr restore button it may help, though I don't understand the need... apparently it's for those who see 16** errors but they can be overcome relatively easily too..
Still it's a tool and all tools must have their uses... think of is as that lonely spork lying at the back of your cutlery drawer...

I kept getting an error when trying to restore to a custom 3.1 firmware on my iPhone 3g. This fixed it! I know this may not be a dev-team supported thing, or a jailbreak, but it works. I don't understand why you are so angrily against this Stu....

its beacause you have to be jailbroken on 3.0 to use a custom 3.1.1 firmware and you DO NOT USE DFU RESTORE ok

Don't get me wrong. I'm not against it. Anything that helps people is good, but it's not a jailbreak tool... It helps in restoring if you have 16** errors, that is all.

No. For this, you need to already be on jailbroken 3.0. There is no jailbroken 3.0 for the 3G.
