Would you buy it if it looks like this and the price is $499-699?

If they could work it out, it'd be a hit, a big one.
But well, it is and stays a rumour, we'll see!
What would you want, what wouldn't you want a tablet like this to have?
Wouldn't 10'' be too small? How about the specifications?
I'm starting to drool when I look at it, really. That + Photoshop/Illustator.. FUCK YEAH! :)

Aye, that's a must. Going to be really expensive if you want to fully cover it, though!

Most likely :)
Would be a total rip if the OS would look like one from an iPhone/iPod Touch. Hope they'll make a 'mobile' OS X version, that'd be awesome. Everything included: Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.. the list goes on.
It'd be totally awesome, mhm!

Does a plain MacBook run Crysis > iFail settings? Hell no!
@ your avatar: Epic, just epic :)
@ your signature: It took me 5 seconds to read it, you got served right there!
Nevertheless, this is an interesting concept, and I'm would be really looking forward to it if Apple is going to convert this into a serious product.

well, what do u expect? it has an integrated 9400 graphics card. the macbook pro with a 512 mb 9600 gt can run crysis at medium settings. u know what? i actually think that this thing will have great graphics . idk about ram and cpu. 2gb ram and 2.26 ghz max, but this may have a 256 mb discrete graphics card.

I would buy it if it was in Rock Band layout, but not Guitar Hero.

SEXY! Although, could it spell the end of the iPod touch app store? When it becomes more profitable to develop for the iTab?

well really the amount of apps made for both depend on the amount of money dev's will get. On one hand, there are tons of apps for the iphone, but then again there are tons of people with iphones ready to buy new apps. Depending on how many itablets sell, dev's might choose to write them for one device or the other. Over time, it might become easy for the dev's to make their apps for both. I bet the number of apps will even out over time too.
