itunes says i have - 57820 songs, 176.6 days, 316.51 GB hmm thought i had 67,000 ish :)

Off the top of my head, I have 15,200 or so songs (all of which I OWN, I'm VERY proud to say--you should see my cd collection!). If I remember correctly, that takes up somewhere in the low to mid 60's for GigaBytes.

Naw, I accumulated my collection over time, so I didn't pay for all my songs at once.

But yes, I am a big music fan, so I am constantly needing to get new music, so I do end up spending a lot of money on music.

I am surprised at how many people voted less than 5GB.

This is an interesting poll. I too am surprised at the amount of people with less than 5gb of music (seeing as this is an Ipod forum).

SkylarEC, that is an amazing legal collection. I have to be honest and say that probably 90% of my 150GB collection is not paid for by me. A friend of mine also has a huge legal collection, and he let me convert it all to mp3, plus I have got a lot of music through the years through torrent. It's funny though, I had never used the I-tunes store until I bought my Touch. Apple has made it so easy and fun to buy music. I am a huge Dave Matthews fan, and after buying one of his albums off of I-tunes, I had a good feeling knowing that I had supported the band. I know, it sounds almost stupid to say, but I kind of forgot about supporting the bands through my hayday of copying and downloading music. I am also older, and make a little bit more money now. I am definatley going to start buying more music in the future.

I had a music collection of 36 GB, but since I owe a Touch, I decided to remove al lot. Now I have 5176 songs left. Also 62 GB movies (iPod) 16 GB TV-Shows and 85 audiobooks.

Actually on itunes i only have about 2.5 GB, but I have Boxes and Boxes of older CDs, I just don't have time to put on it.

120GB Firewire Drive completely full. When it scans I think it was in the upper 28,000 songs+. It's actually quite a hassle to filter out only 12GB to put on my touch.

Facebook itunes deal = 110 songs
Moms music from cds= 500 songs
And a small ammount of "other" music =400 songs

i almost filled my 30gb ipod touch like 2 months ago, i was at like 27... but then the sexy iPoTs came out and i had to have one, so i cut down my library to about 20 then i made all my music to a low 96ACC, i have to say it still sounds good, my amp in my car does a good job, so now my iTunes library says:

4274 songs
11.2 days
11.62 gb

all of my music is organized with covers, i slaved from sept 1st to sept 16th (day i got my iPoT) to make it all perfect.

23697 songs....all have at least one play count! :)

I don't know how in the world you guys manage to get all that music. Quite amazing.

I have only 3,5 GB of songs but every song has a full ID3 Tag: Very good quality covers, Producers, Lyrics, BPM etc.

I had 13GB, but there was so much music I really never had heard so I deleted it, now I have 4GB very day 50MB more xD and No I'm not stealing the music I love buying on the way

You know what scares me, if each song was worth one dollar, imagine how much money total you've spent on music. A couple thousand?

About 90% of the songs are from my CD collection that I imported into iTunes.
I must say that the Touch is really quite an incentive to buy from the iTunes store. I already bought three CDs there in the 1,5 weeks that I've owned it. That's about 300% more than in the previous three years since I started using iTunes.

By the way, I'm a professional musician and started buying CDs when I was 15 years old. I'm 30 now.

i realy thought there would be many users with over 100 GB music collection at least . and to lachlan438 why would anyone want to lie about how much music they have and i know quite a few people arond the world who has over 500 gig of pure quality music i not having a dig just saying :cool:

well, when i first got my ipod touch it was like, 10 songs, and like 8mb.

but everyday it continues to grow, since everyday i find out new stuff and listen, soo yea..

now its like 500 mb's now , i think i hit about 80 songs.

eventually it will grow more and more... ill laugh the day i hit a gig.

Pretty sure 10 songs would take up more than 8mb. But anyways...
