I'm not sure which thread I was supposed to post this in, as its not related to the ipod touch, but is it possible to boot the mac os X on a PC?

Yes, technically on a Pentium 4 or higher processor.

But it's hideously complicated and not for the weak of heart.

Good luck finding a pc where all the hardware is compatible.

Well yes. I did it on a spare Dell box of mine, it took me about 8 hardware swaps before I had a working machine. Easier just to buy a mac - I mean it's worth it in the end ;)

I heard in OS X Leopard, you can boot to an XP with no sweat :D
while in XP-Leopard == its pretty tough, since you need the requirements:d

...or just download and install the free to use PearPC?

Wack in your OSX disk (Or heaven forbid, download an iso of it ;)) and install it in PearPC as a virtual desktop.

"fast" has nothing to do with it. Intel is a major part.
