Um. they are both the same. Which one is BETTER FOR YOU is the better question. Do you have enough room with 8g of music and movies and Videos? Will you have to do a serious cutback on songs you want on the ipod? Will 16 be better or more convenient?

If you have more than 16 gig of music, then you need to do a major cut back of music so you have room for videos, if you even want videos on your touch.

Flash HD's are very expensive, i dont know if a 32g will be out within the next year...production costs will be too high, and final value sales on the consumer end will result in a 700 ipod for a 32 gig drive.

16 is all you're going to see until the end of 2008.

I would go for 16gig, for just 100 bucks more you get double the space.

go for a 16GB iTouch, 8 is only like 7.something and its not enough for anything.

I wouldn't use the name "IpoT". It coincides too much with humor from years ago. People used to draw pictures of weed and call it iPot. Then there were people who drew toilet and called it iPot.

Definitely 16gb is the better choice.

Pros

1) Same thickness (I never really cared for how thin an ipod is, I have a 3/4 inch iPod right now)

2) Double space, only $100 more.

I would only get the 8gb if I will get the next iPod Touch. I wont be getting another iPod (most likely) for a couple of years.

it really depends on how much media you need in your pocket i have everything i want on my 8 gig with no regrets. 5 full movies, 8 other video clips, 777 songs, and 396 photos. and still have 1.3 gigs left

I listen to quite a few podcasts, and they can be space consuming.
I will have my older ipod for overflow though. Or, it will be going to my parents.

you don´t have enough battery time on it to play 8gigs with songs, or videos or both. But sure why not get the 16gig ipod? I certainly did, its only 100$ more..

16 gig is better

8g couldn't handle the podcasts, especially the videos. I returned my 8g and got 16g.

If you can... get 16g.
