AAHH!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I just followed the manual instructions and am pretty sure that I got iPod linux onto my 5.5 Generation iPod video. Then, I ejected it and it started the little rebooting sequence.
I waited for about a minute and reset it with the Menu Select
Then I look at my computer and see on iPod linux wiki:
Note: Do not reset your iPod while it's booting for the first time after a firmware update (using the Apple updater). This will abort the ROM flashing, and will render your iPod dead, meaning it's broken and you'll need getting it replaced by Apple (we can't help you there)!
AM I SCREWED?
It still has the dim picture of an apple logo on the screen. This has happened once before for 15 minutes when I first put custom firmware (Classic to Video) on it.
When I put it up to my ear it makes a faint humming sound.
HELP!!!!!
It does respond to a manual reset...
Should I try to put it in disk mode!?!?!!?!
IT IS IN DISK MODE. WOOHOO!!!!!
