One day I dropped my iPod Nano, and after that it has been stuck in hold. Moving the slider does nothing and resetting/restoring still keeps it in hold. I have opened it up and directly flipped the switch but that doesn't do anything either.
Is there anyway I could stop the software from locking or any other suggestions?
Thank you.

^^ :D ^^
Can you put it in diagnostic mode? Maybe if you let the battery run out and then connect it to your computer and restore.

Ok this happened to my friend like a week ago...he tried dropping etc. but then he grabbed a putty knife and opened up the nano.
Dont worry you dont have to solder or cut anything, when u open it up there will be a little switch that is supposed to be connected to the hold button.
all he did was pop it back up and now his nano is perfect again.
