If i were in you, i would buy the 8gb version, the 16 is just too expensive in my opinion... 399 for only 16gb...

you have too look at what you need. i look at what music i would HAVE TO have, and it came out to like8.4 gigs, and i want room for vids and pics, so see what you need

I bought the 16g iPod Touch. It's always good to have a little bit more space :P

After they opened up the bad boy and showed the world that the memory
is not easy to replace. I went with the 16G. Wonder how much work it will take to swap in the 32G module when it comes out next year

I think that when some more memory comes out for the iPod Touch, I'll just go and get it replaced at the Apple store. This way, if they mess up at least they can replace it :P

just look how many songs you have in iTunes, if you have more than 1750 go for the 16gb, if you have like 800 songs, you should take the 8gb. Also verify that after putting all your song on your ipod, you have an off memory to put some movies and photos.
(sorry for my english, i'm french-canadian:o)

It really depends on how much stuff you have. If you just have 1 or 2 gb of music, and a couple of videos, I'd say go with the 8.
For me, with 10gb of music, and a bunch of videos, the choice was obvious.

Why settle for something less? I bought an iPod Touch 8GB before thinking that it would be more than enough but after 2 days I saw myself at a store having it replaced with a 16GB one... I've learned my lesson. Well, it's still up to you. TIP: Bigger=better :p
