My ipod seems to be fuxed, would not start when it arrived.
Eventually after some charge it flashed and restarted numerous times.
Now, no screen is showing but when connected with itunes open it tells me to restore so i try.. it downloads the file and trys but does before it can restore it gives "unknown error 1604"

Any suggestions to fix this?
-I have no visual on the screen as of now
-I have tried to reset it by holding both buttons, releasing the top button while continuing to hold the home.

try to restart your computer then try to restore. repeat if necessary. post back with results.

dont work :(

try sync'ing on a different PC. I kept getting 1604 errors, then I tried it on my laptop, worked. Moved back to the other pc and it worked.
