yea, i read that earlier, its strange, you would think apple would advertise something like this.
but i guess the revelence it would have to bt is if it were built into that chip, or some of the other "apple marked chips" ifixit found.

yea, i just find it odd that good 'ol Jobbers wouldnt announce BT with the touch
unless of course he plans to just activate it at a l8r date, in which case I would be pretty pissed off unless he shows off some new features for it as well, idk, i could be completely wrong, but its worth a shot guessing:)

Haha I guessed that before I even got to that reply. That would be insane. Wireless headphones, no more tangle. They could have like a nice docking station charger. Just an idea of course. I think that apple is going to come out with bluetooth along with some other neat apps but again just an idea.

anyone saw this (http://davidfilms.wordpress.com/2007/09/14/ipod-touch/)?
this is pretty interesting, if it's not a stupid fake.

people need to stop posting this. yes it is true, no this doesnt mean bluetooth is there just disabled, nor does this mean it isnt there. we have to wait for someone like ifixit to figure out what all the apple branded chips do before the existance of bluetooth can be confirmed or rejected.

Why isnt' 802.11n on these chips? Is this another $1 update to get it? :p

What would be the point? N hardware is G compatible, and I'm be shocked if the internals could handle the difference between G and N speeds.

Where would n be needed?? The only thing you can do with wifi is safari (can't download files), itunes wifi (small files), and youtube (small files). There is no need for n. If it could handle downloading of files, large files.. then n might be of need. But it'd be pointless to have n in this devise.

the only reason n *might* be needed is for the longer range. but the slight cost of battery life is not worth it IMO. if anything they should work on supporting more encryption methods, like LEAP and wpa enterprise.
