theyre both pretty amazing, but i think beejive gets more points from me because its tight integration with the iPoTs interface. love em both!

I guess i was wrong. Last time i tried meebo on my touch it wouldnt let me bring up the keypad.

FlickIm Does in fact work in the iPod Touch. At least on mine it does, I find this to be the best one so far. However it only allows access to AIM. Were meebo grants you access to most of the messenger services.

flickim.com looks neat, but it looks like it only workes for AIM, I need MSN :(

meebo did not work for me. i was so impressed with beejive that i did not bother testing flickim.

I've used all 3 just to see which one I like the best. Out of all 3 my choice is Beejive by far.

I hope we can install apps on the ipod touch soon. the apollo app for the iphone looks like the winner, f!ck this safari crap, i want native apps

Same here, because for some reason when I'm using Jivetalk and I get more than 3 windows open its kicks me off of Jivetalk. Plus When I'm using seeqpod and listening to music I'm not able to check my IM's till the song is done.

I've heard that if you go to AIM.com you can use the online AIM, will that work on the touch? I hope it does.

i just got my ipod touch and what instant messaging programs work or can be used that i can use my aim buddy list and talk on there with them

I could only get meebo to work on my iPod touch. When I went to beehive it said that safari couldn't open the server

I've tried FlickIM and Beejive, but I like Beejive better, it's easier to see your buddy list and quicker to chat. In FlickIM you have to scroll through all your buddies, Beejive shows your normal AIM layout. The only thing I don't like about beejive is the text ad.

is there any Ichat website, or will ichat be available for download after jailbreak? Because I have AIM, but I nicknamed most of my buddies and I don't know them by their AIM screennames, just by their nicknames on Ichat. lol So, is Ichat possible?

beejive lets you see your buddy's nicknames if you go into the settings.

Do I have to be in the Beejive window while i'm chatting always to not be disconnected?
Because i was chatting today in the morning, and when i changed the window and i returned to beejive it was disconnected and it said "Log In"
It happenned me like 3 times!
So... If I'll chat at beejive i must just chat in that window to not be disconnected?

I think I'd rather wait for a fresh program after the itouch's hacked. If I had one. lolz, come on, China can't be that nice!

Go into the Beejive settings, from there you can adjust the session timeout. By default it'll be 15 min., you can have it at a max of 2 hours. That means if you shut off your ipod you'll still be online for the next 2 hours.

Ok, thanks! So are the nicknames already there if they were there on Ichat, or will I have to re-enter them on bejive?

i like mobilechat better. apollo file is around twice the size too.
supposeldy mobilechat will be updated soon with one or two things i'm looking for.
i like beejive the best, but it seems to heat up my ipod since it's constantly refreshing the 'webapp'

No, you do not have to pay a thing. Unless you want to donate to the developer of the application, of course.

Anyone know when Apollo will support Yahoo messenger? I can use beejive right now to login to my chat clients but I like the option of a stand-alone chat program like Apollo as opposed to going to safari.

If the installer crashes after downloading, it's because you have ran out of space for your applications.

Hello ! I suggest you use meebo because it works very well and you can have multiple chats with your friends, and it s very stable. Good luck! So meebo works great!

One thing I dont like about Apollo is that we cant see the email address of some contacts. Sometimes my contacts use strange characters and they end up appearing as squares, so the only way I can identify them is from their email address. Also, can we sort our buddies according to the groups we assigned them to?

Even though Apollo is still somewhat basic, its just fine for me ;)

I'm a fan of beejive. It keeps my buddies in their groups and with their nicknames. It allows me to add and remove buddies and read their away messages. And because it's run from Safari, I can type in landscape mode, which neither native app can offer.

My only issue is that the page often resets itself when i try to do other things. Sometimes even when I've only opened a second webpage in safari. Anyone know of a way to counteract that?
