im just wondering a bit about the iphones, cause my friend just got one and payed $150 to get it unlocked in toronto (to use in canada with his sim). and i would like to buy the new 16gb one and sell my 16gb ipod touch, and unlock it myself. cause im really good with my touch i know the software inside out, and can do anything pretty much.

sooooo would i just be able to downgrade from 1.1.3 to 1.1.2, go to installer and just install the app anySIM or something? or is it more complicated then that? cause that just seems to easy to unlock an iphone. i went to modmyifone.com and theyre talking something about this OTB 1.1.2 or 1.1.3... i guess ill have to do some reading to wrap my head around the iphone scene.

sorry, i shouldnt have posted so early, i think i know what to do now from modmyifone.com and iclarified.com, but the link for jailbreaking 1.1.2 is dead, so is it the same as the touch? installer>oktoprep>update to 1.1.2>run 1.1.2 jailbreak?
is this correct?

New iPhone as far as I know can't be jailbroken.
You have to get one that came with the ye olde firmware.
