Well since people on verizon got jipped out of the iphone deal and we now all have our touches verizon decides to come out with a phone called the LG VX10000 its no iphone but comes close to it with a full QWERTY keyboard and many other features. How many people will think they will get this? I prob most certainly will

they might as well put a dumpster right at the end of the production line for that thing. its kind of sad when i can truthfully say "my ipod is better than that BRAND NEW phone..." the screen quality is terrible. it looks like a old monocolor cell phone screen, but with color. they keep adding more and more screens in these new phones, but the quality of the screens still sucks. i dont care if your phone has 3 screens, my ipod has 1 screen, and its higher quality than all 3 of your screens put together. people say that americas phones are 7 years behind japans... now i see why.

The quality doesn't really look as great as the iPhone. Sure it is touchscreen, but I doubt it will come close to beating the iPhone.

I've seen the whole new lineup for verizon and I have to say dont hold your breath. Its a fancy envy clone no match for iphone or better yet the touch. I know a lot a ppl will be happy with voyager and venus phones but its not like you have much of a choice with verizon. I just recently cancelled my verizon account maybe thats why im so critical on verizon I never liked their service.

Sorry to say but this is old news. This was announced months ago. Anyway, I have the LG enV, this is basically the new version of the enV. It looks like a pretty cool upgrade from my current phone.

i think the phone is just going to suck, i dont see how this can compete with an iPhone to be honest.

Japanese and Asian phones are better..

It doesn't look bad , but it honestly isn't going to live up to or surpass the iPhone. Thats kind of a shame that the screen isn't that great.

The screen on the front looks too small to be a touch screen. I would end up pushing like 5 buttons with one finger on that thing.

The way I see it is it's just another enV (you did link to the VX10000). I'm probably gonna end up with one either way seeing as my Terms on my Verizon end in Feb, and I am gonna try to get a phone with keypad. But if I had the chance to get an iPhone, I'd get it over this anyday.

Sounds like an enV with a crappy touch screen. I think I'll keep my current en-V for now and hope that the second gen iPhone is out by the time my contract is up (~1 year from now) that supports 3g.

He wasn't saying that Verizon wasn't offered the contract w/ apple, only that as a result of the contract not being accepted, verizon customers (like myself) got gyped out of an iphone.

Are phones in the US that behind compared to Europe?! Or is that just a particularly ugly phone?

I would have thought phones such as the Sony K850i (here (http://www.mobilegazette.com/sony-ericsson-k850i-07x06x15.htm)), LG Prada phone (here (http://www.t3.co.uk/news/247/communications/mobile_phone/lg_prada_phone_unboxed)), the LG Viewty (here (http://www.trustedreviews.com/mobile-phones/news/2007/08/20/LGs-Brings-5MP-Touchscreen-HSDPAer-To-3/p1)and here (http://www.t3.co.uk/news/247/communications/mobile_phone/lgs_viewty_viewed)) and the Nokia N95 (here (http://www.t3.co.uk/news/247/communications/mobile_phone/n95_gets_updated)) would be rivals to the iphone. Don't you have those phones in the US market, the nokia being the key one?

Forgive my ignorance, it's not something I know a lot about and I'm always curious about Apple's rivals and competitors.
