Is anyone else suffering major early adopter's remorse / buyer's remorse from the iPod touch? namely, that Apple may decrease the price, add a camera, add speakers, etc. Major "oh shit I shouldn't have bought it early..."

I mean seriously guys... I paid $400 for a music player and wi-fi client... totally not worth it really.

If anyone ever thinks this - and says anything. Just mention installer.app.
Your MP3 + WiFi client becomes a web server, games console, emulator, sniffer, whatever you want it to be =]

Definitely not.

I knew what I was buying when I bought it. I thought it was a great price for what it could do..and it was an even better price for what the jailbreak could do.

Yeah, the 8GB for me is cutting a little close, but I don't regret it at all.

For less then $300 I bought the "macbook helium"
- it's lighter then air

(compares with nokia n800/810 ~= touch and n95 ~= iphone)

Guess it depends on why you bought it. You can get an mp3 player for $15-$30, after all. Heck I have a small pile of zen nanos if you want one :D

well i don't know, I have tons of apps installed, but it still doesn't feel like it was worth the money.... most of my apps are cool to have but aren't that useful.

I doubt Apple will drop the price anyway, since they just introduced the 32 gb version.

I agree to be honest, I was thinking the same thing.

Although I think everything the iPot can do is great, and don't regret the actual purchase - I just feel that I could have waited longer to get an iPot with DOUBLE the memory. Never mind

I did think about not buying it (bought mine last sat), already knowing Apples Track Record for not mentioning things until they do (you know what I mean). I checked here, macrumours etc and nothing really about new iPod Touch's so I went for it. Anyways, I went on the basis that I'm not going to be unhappy with it once they release new ones (they're bound to anyway). I bought the 1st and second gen nanos (one replaced the other through the magic of warranty :D) and I really dislike the new nanos. Whatever they release I'm not going to discard my iPod touch in some film noir scene of tears and a wire bin with it blinking an unhappy face at me. I'll still use it and enjoy it.
Great thing about Apple: you always like what you have, and despite the fact you may want what is on offer (who doesn't?) you'll not despise what you currently have. Pretty much everything is timeless when it has the logo attached...

I just know that whatever they do next, there's a whole bunch of apps I haven't installed and still can. :)
