i just remembered i have an 8gb black ipod second generation lol
and i had trouble with it and i didnt know this forum. anyways i cant get my computer to recognize it and it doesnt even charge (computer or wall charger)
by the way it dont have any warranty cuz i bought it from my uncle and my uncle bought it from some other dude.
so someone plz help. i didnt pay much attention to it cuz i have an ipod touch now
but my sister wants one and i could just give it to her... if i fix it

Does it turn on or do anything? Can it still play music?

yes it still plays music and all but i cant put any music on there cuz my computer doesnt recognize it. i tried using a different computer but no luck

Try another cable maybe?

tryed that too but no lock i almost tried everything.
when i went to apple they said it was gonna cost me like $120 just to fix it
and im like hell naw i am not paying all that when i cost me like 200 dollars
